This statistic illustrates the total value of core equity tier 1 capital shortfall of European banks from June 2011 to June 2018. It can be seen that the value of core equity tier 1 capital shortfall of European banks at 4.5 percent and seven percent both generally declined with some fluctuation during the period observed. In 2011 the value of core equity tier 1 capital shortfall at seven percent amounted to 277 billion euros, by June 2017 this had declined to zero.
