The number of AIDS-related deaths in Brazil varies between genders. In 2022, approximately 7,500 men and around 3,500 women died from AIDS-related causes in the South American country. AIDS-related deaths increased in Brazil for both genders compared to 2020, when around 10,600 people died from the disease. During the last year depicted, the AIDS death rate in Brazil was estimated at 4.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a 2.3 percent decrease compared to the previous year.
