The results of a 2023 survey about the installation of solar panels for self-production and self-consumption of energy in Italy showed that 57 percent of respondents would be keen to produce their own solar energy. The rate of respondents with a positive attitude toward home solar installations has decreased in recent years, from a peak of 82 percent in 2012.
