In 2023, 91 percent of French users aged 12 to 17 reported making voice calls using mobile communication apps such as Hangouts, Viber, and WhatsApp. Additionally, 87 percent of respondents aged 25 to 29 reported using these apps to make calls. In contrast, 62 percent of French respondents aged 60 to 69 reported placing calls using mobile applications.
