Leading banks in France 2016-2023, by market capitalization
Between 2016 and 2023, BNP Paribas had the largest market capitalization of the leading French banks. As of January 2023, BNP Paribas had a value of approximately 73.2 billion euros, slightly lower than last year but still way above any other bank in the country. BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, and Société Générale were not only the largest banks in France, but they were also among the leading European banks in terms of market capitalization.
