As of 2023, SMEs in Romania added a value of approximately 78.4 billion euros to the economy. Micro-sized enterprises added approximately 29.7 billion euros to the Romanian economy during this year, the most of any enterprise size. Micro enterprises also made up the largest share of SME's in Romania.
