This statistic presents the share of consumers in selected age groups using social media to inspire purchases in the Republic of Ireland, according to survey conducted in Autumn/Winter 2017. The usage of social media for purchase inspiration decreases with age, with only 13 percent of those aged 65 years and older using the platforms, compared to 94 percent of 18 to 24 year olds.
