Ways of finding new TV shows and movies in the U.S. and Canada 2022-2023

The most common way in which Americans and Canadians discover new movies and TV shows is through word of mouth or from friends, with 43.2 percent of respondents to a survey in the fourth quarter of 2023. Getting to know new content via banner ads was less common, according to around seven percent of people interviewed.
