Monthly internet access tariffs for fixed broadband Hong Kong 2013-2023

There had been a downward trend in the access tariff of broadband services between 2008 and 2012. It was mainly attributable to the fact that service providers attracted new subscribers of broadband services by offering preferential tariff. The tariff level in 2013 mainly reflected the enhancement of the quality of broadband services offered in terms of speed (the service providers mainly offered broadband services of 10 Mbps in 2008. From 2010 onward, service providers had gradually offered customers with broadband services of 100 Mbps or above). A downward trend in the access tariff of broadband services was also recorded between 2013 and 2017. It was mainly due to the preferential tariff offered by service providers to attract subscribers as associated with the keen competition of the market.
