At the end of 2023, approximately 54 percent of internet users surveyed in Mexico stated that they trusted media as an institution that does what is right. Six years earlier, in 2017, the share stood at 48 percent. El Universal and TV Azteca were among the top online news brands in Mexico in 2023.
