This chart depicts the results of a survey about drivers of consumption of special beers among consumers in Italy in 2018. According to data, the country of origin drove the purchases of 53 percent of asked consumers, while 51 percent of them were rather influenced by the characteristics of the special beer. Among the least influencing factors there was the shelf location, influencing only four percent of respondents.

By special beer is meant high-fermented beer, Belgian, pilsner, stout, bock beer, imported non lager beer, regional and craft beer in 50 cl and 75 cl format, as well as beer mix, light and non-alcoholic beer.
