The German company Allianz Group had the highest turnover of any insurance company in Europe with approximately 151 billion U.S dollars in 2017. AXA of France and Generali of Italy finished the top three insurance and reinsurance companies with turnovers in 2017 of 118 billion U.S dollars and 82.1 billion U.S dollars respectively.
