The statistic shows the annual sports budget share of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Japan Sports Agency (JSA) for physical education at school in Japan from 2007 to 2016. In 2016, the budget for physical education at schools accounted for 16.1 percent of the government sports budget in Japan, an increase from about 1.8 percent in 2007.
