Production costs and global box office revenue of the Fantastic Beasts movies 2022
As of September 2022, the third movie of the Fantastic Beasts series, "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore" – which premiered in April that same year – grossed less than 405 million U.S. dollars worldwide. That was less than half the global box office revenue of the first installment, "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" (2016). Yet the first film was 10 percent cheaper to produce than the third one.
