In 2023, cosmetics and personal care accounted for nearly 60 percent of direct retail sales in Latin America and the Caribbean, making it the leading product category within the direct selling industry. In contrast, just one percent of the total direct sales generated in Latin America were attributed to foodstuff and beverage products.

As of 2023, the source renamed their geographical grouping from "Latin America & Caribbean" to "South & Central America". There was, however, no apparent change in the countries included. Mexico, despite belonging to North America, is still included here.
