This statistic displays the findings of a survey on the usage of security measures and safety features among internet users in the United Kingdom between 2013 and 2016. In 2013, it was found that 79 percent of respondents reported using anti-virus software on their home PC, laptop or netbook. Two years later, that number had dropped by 5 percent. In the period of consideration, no security feature saw increased use. Instead, all features saw a slight drop between 2013 and 2014. In 2016, 43 percent of the respondents used e-mail filters that block unwanted or spam e-mails.
