The German contributions to the Eurosystem’s monetary aggregates should on no account be interpreted as national monetary aggregates and are therefore not comparable with the erstwhile German money stocks M1, M2 or M3. * Overnight deposits (excluding central governments’ deposits), and (for the euro area) currency in circulation, central governments’ overnight monetary liabilities, which are not included in the consolidated balance sheet.
