M2, the "intermediate money" is the sum of M1 (currency in circulation and overnight deposits), deposits with maturity of maximum two years and deposits redeemable at notice of maximum three months. The value of money supply M2 in the euro zone amounted to approximately 15.4 trillion euros as of September 2022, which was an increase from the previous month.
