This statistic shows the answers on a survey question on the total value of cash money, debit card, credit card or other card payment transactions in hotels, restaurants and catering (abbreviated in Dutch as horeca) in the Netherlands in 2012, 2014 and 2017 (in billion euros). Debit cards were widely used, with 9.4 billion euros worth in transactions being mentioned in 2017. This was much less the case for credit cards.
