This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted among American companies in China on the perceived impact on their businesses of the U.S.-China trade tariffs as of September 2018. During the survey period, 47.2 percent of the surveyed American companies in China responded that the second round of 200 billion U.S. dollars tariffs imposed by the United States on Chinese imports had a strong negative impact on their business.

Surveyed American companies were AmCham China and AmCham Shanghai member companies in China of which 60.6 percent were in manufacturing-related industries, 25.8 percent in services, 5.5 percent in retail and distribution, and 8.1 percent in other industries.
