The history of JYP Entertainment
Initially called Tae-Hong Planning Corporation, JYP Entertainment was founded in 1997 by singer-songwriter Jin-young Park, and quickly began debuting artists. The company found success early on with popular artists such as g.o.d and Rain, allowing them to quickly expand their talent pool and establish themselves as one of the leading K-pop entertainment companies.
