As of 2017, Aleja Bielany, an out of town shopping center and retail park located in Wroclaw, Poland, was the largest shopping center in Central and Eastern Europe, with around 131 thousand square meters in gross leasable area. Homepark Targowek, also located in Poland, and Baneasa in Bucharest, Romania, ranked in second and third place, covering areas of 124 square meters and over 120 square meters, respectively.
