Frequency of online purchases of CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray in the Netherlands 2017

This statistic shows the answers to a survey question on how often consumers in the Netherlands purchased CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray discs via the Internet in 2017. Approximately 20 percent of the respondents indicated they used e-commerce to buy one of the products within this segment between one or three times in the last 12 months. 62 percent of the respondents indicated they never purchased CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray online.

Approximately 60 percent of the media and entertainment retail sales were done online, making this the product segment with the largest share of e-commerce sales in the Netherlands in 2017. On the other hand, in the food and near-food category this percentage reached four percent.
