In 2022, the value of green bonds issued from China amounted to 85 billion U.S. dollars, the largest share being issued onshore. Compared to 2018, the distribution of onshore and offshore green bonds has changed significantly. While the value of offshore-issued bonds increased to 13.8 billion U.S. dollars, the value of onshore-issued bonds grew to 71 billion U.S. dollars.
