ROE of non-life insurance companies in Italy 2010-2021

The return on equity (ROE) registered by the non-life insurance sector in Italy increased overall from 2010 to 2021, despite some fluctuations. In 2010 and 2011, the return on equity of the sector registered a negative value (-4.6 and -4.7 percent, respectively). However, in the following years, the ROE of the sector recorded positive values. In 2021, the return on equity of the non-life insurance sector in Italy reached 8.1 percent, a sharp decrease compared to the previous year.
