This statistic illustrates the level of concern European travelers have regarding travel to Britain following the decision of the EU referendum ('Brexit') in 2016, which resulted in the majority of the electorate in the United Kingdom voting to leave the European Union. According to the consumer sentiment survey, conducted across four waves between August 2016 and March 2018, difficulty accessing healthcare in Britain was the biggest concern for travelers, followed by potentially requiring a visa to travel to Britain. Concern for the latter in March 2018 was on par with concern regarding the cost of travel insurance rising, at 37 percent respectively.
