This statistic shows the installed base of WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Snapchat and Skype in the Netherlands as of April 2018 (in millions). In April 2018, Snapchat was installed on approximately 3.5 million smartphones in the Netherlands. In a separate 2018 survey, 72 percent of the respondents aged 15 to 19 years old indicated they used the popular picture app. WhatsApp, however, remained the most popular messaging app in the Netherlands with roughly 12 million installs.
