From 2009 to 2019, people's interest in Swedish politics fluctuated, regardless of their educational level. Overall, respondents with a high education level were more interested in politics than the respondents with lower levels of education. In detail, the lowest interest for the respondents with a high education occurred in 2009, with a share of 67 percent of respondents being interested in politics. While the share was highest in 2014 for higher educated people, amounting to 75 percent, it declined slightly the following years, but reached 73 percent as of 2019. During that same year, 53 percent of the respondents with a low educational level were very or rather interested in Swedish politics.
