According to the findings, the category that had the highest share of engagement on Facebook were news websites, which accounted for 51 percent of user interactions. Coming in second was the category of entertainment, which held an engagement share of 19 percent.

Data is based on the top 100 sites that made the most-engaged list in April, categorized based on total engagements with the web content that they published that month. Engagements with native content such as Live videos are not included in this analysis.
