Reasons for e-cigarette usage in Denmark 2020, by type of user
This statistic shows the result of a survey on reasons for e-cigarette usage in Denmark in 2020. That year, the most common reason for using electronic cigarettes was to stop smoking tobacco, with a share of 57 percent of daily users as well as occasional users each. 42 percent of surveyed daily e-cigarette users stated to think that it was less harmful than smoking ordinary cigarettes, while the share of respondents that were occasional users amounted to 23 percent.
