Western Europe: plastic share of medium sized cars' curb weight 2008-2030
This statistic shows the historic and projected share of the curb weight of medium sized passenger cars produced in Western Europe from 2008 to 2030, attributable to plastic. Curb weight denotes the weight of a car without occupants or baggage, but including other necessary consumables such as motor oil or coolant. Since 2008, the contribution of plastic to the curb weight of these vehicles produced in Western Europe has increased from 7.5 percent to 8.8 percent in 2018.
