In the 2023 fiscal year, ArcelorMittal's steel production across North America amounted to approximately 8.7 million metric tons, an increase of six percent compared with the previous year when the multinational steel company manufactured almost 8.3 million metric tons of steel. Over the period given, production levels of the company in the region started to decrease in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2022, this figure saw an increase, but it was still far below the production figures of pre-pandemic years.
