In 2022, approximately 1,456 practicing nurses in Chile obtained training abroad, of which 569 nurses, or 40 percent of the total, were trained in Colombia. Meanwhile, 221 professional nurses working in Chile received training in Venezuela, and 190 nurses completed their professional training in Peru. During the year depicted, Chile was home to about 78,700 domestically-trained nurses.
