This statistic shows the distribution of retail shrinkage in Chile in 2017, by loss type. In 2017, commercial shrinkage caused by internal theft or robbery was reported by 46.2 of the surveyed companies, while 4.6 percent of surveyed companies reported suffering retail losses due to supplier error.

*The fourteen surveyed companies collectively generated a revenue of around 25 billion U.S. dollars during the survey period. The retail companies included were supermarkets, pharmacies, hypermarkets, department stores and clothing and footwear stores.
