In 2023, South Korea's logistics industry was ranked 17th in the world by the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index (LPI). This was the first time the country ranked among the top twenty countries of the LPI.

The World Bank releases the logistics performance index (LPI), which compares 139 countries around the world in terms of logistics competitiveness. The LPI is the weighted average of six components:
1) efficiency of the clearance process including customs
2) trade quality and logistics infrastructure
3) ease of arranging international shipments
4) logistics competence
5) tracking and tracing of consignments
6) timeliness of delivery
