Approximately 20 out of 100 Flemish 16-to-24-year-olds said in 2019 they watched online gaming videos in the last month. This number was considerably higher than in other age groups. Unlike YouTube, Twitch streams focus exclusively on online gaming and eSports. Note that this number only covers the Dutch-speaking region of Flanders in Belgium, with no similar data being available for the rest of the country. This is not uncommon for Belgium. The country is divided in three regions, namely Flanders in the north, French-speaking Wallonia in the south and the Brussels-Capital Region in between. These regions have their own governments (alongside the national one) and sometimes act separately from each other. This also means that consumer surveys held in one region, are not necessarily held in the other parts of the country or not even being available nationally. That is the case here.
