ICO participation rate in the Netherlands 2018
Of the cryptocurrency investors in the Netherlands in 2018, approximately six percent indicated they invested in a digital currency from one specific Initial Coin Offering (ICO). An ICO is a way for a company to raise venture capital. The company, usually a start-up, created a cryptocurrency and it sells these to investors. Dutch interest in cryptocurrencies decreased since 2018, however, with no new surveys or information appearing in 2019.
