Sasa Polyester Sanayi A.Ş. was the leading chemical and chemical product manufacturer in Turkey in 2023, based on production-based sales reaching approximately 36.5 billion Turkish lira. PETKİM Petrokimya Holding A.Ş. became the second leading chemical manufacturing company that same year, with production-based sales valued at over 35.9 billion Turkish lira.

As is the case with net sales, companies should provide the net amount of production-based sales, which means all sales taxes, funds, VAT and Special Consumption Tax should be excluded. Sales amount should not include sales returns and allowances. Discounts and allowances that are reflected in other accounts than the “Sales Allowances” should also be deducted. The sale of goods purchased for resale should not be included in the production-based sales'
