Individuals use of payment methods in the United Kingdom (UK) 2018
The statistic illustrates the share of survey respondents who have used different payment methods in the United Kingdom (UK) in the last month in 2018. It can be seen that 89 percent of respondents in the UK reported that they had taken out cash from an ATM in the previous month to the survey, whilst only 32 percent of respondents stated that they had written a cheque. Despite the growth in alternative payment methods the survey suggests that the use of cash is still frequent.
