In 2021, approximately 8.6 million pregnant women in India tested for HIV in governmental Integrated Counselling and Testing Centers (ICTC), whereas over 6.3 million tested in stand-alone ICTC facilities. In that same year, out of an estimate of 30 million pregnant women across the country, around 23 million were tested for HIV infections.
