Share of borrowers with default loans in Portugal 2016-2019
This statistic displays the share of borrowers with loans that were overdue and therefore defaulted in Portugal from December 2016 to September 2019, by debtor type. It can be seen that overall the ratio of borrowers that had loans overdue decreased during this time period. Non-financial corporation borrowers saw the most positive change with the share of borrowers with default loans decreasing from 27.2 percent in December 2016 to 20.6 percent as of September 2019.
