According to a survey of Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG carried out in 2019, the preferred items to clean the interior of the house among men and women surveyed in Brazil were buckets and brushes, with 78 percent and 84 percent of respondents, respectively. That same year, Brazilian female respondents were more prone than their male counterparts to use a bucket and a mop or a centrifugal mop for that purpose. One percent of men surveyed in the South American country said that they don't use water for indoor household cleaning.

The original question posed in the survey was "Which kind of tools do you use normally when cleaning the interior (bathroom, kitchen, living room, etc.) of your home?" Multiple answers were allowed.
