This statistic presents the share of social media users who discover brands via selected online sources as of the first quarter 2018, by user type. According to the findings, across all social media sources, heavy social media users reported higher discovery rates of brands relative to their counterparts. As such, 18 percent of heavy social media users stated to discovering brands either through celebrity endorsements or reviews from expert bloggers, while only 10 percent of light social media users claimed the same.
