During a survey conducted in the Netherlands in June 2020, 20 percent of respondents purchased their latest Ebooks or audiobooks. However, 2020 was a strong year in the book market due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the temporary lockdowns. Despite that, 15 percent of respondents also reported receiving their last book as a gift.
