Figures are counts of foreign national residents with medium- to long-term residence permits as defined by the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act, excluding the those with residence status for “diplomat”, “official”, and “technical intern training.”
The status for “specified skilled worker” was introduced in 2019.
