Latin America & Caribbean: air freight volume 2016-2019
In 2019, approximately 5.7 million metric tons of air freight were handled in Latin America and the Caribbean. In relation to the previous year, this represents a slight decline and a backslide in the upward trend recorded in the region since 2016. In contrast, the number of air passengers passing through Latin American or Caribbean airports grew in 2019.
