The number of international air arrivals on the Ionian Islands in Greece increased sharply in 2023 over the previous year, also surpassing the figures reported before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, inbound air arrivals in the Greek islands peaked at nearly 3.6 million in 2023. The Ionian Islands include the Greek islands of Zante, Corfu, Kefalonia and Aktio.
