The value of venture capital (VC) invested in startups in North, South, and Central America fluctuated significantly over the past ten years. In the last quarter of 2021 alone, startups across the Americas received approximately 102 billion U.S. dollars in venture capital investments, the highest value recorded throughout the period considered. Since then, the quarterly value of VC invested in startups in the Americas decreased, reaching 41 billion U.S. dollars in the third quarter of 2024.
