The value of venture capital (VC) invested in startups in North, South, and Central America grew significantly over the past nine years. In the last quarter of 2021 alone, startups across the Americas received approximately 102 billion U.S. dollars in venture capital investments, the highest value recorded in the given period. In the second quarter of 2022, the value of VC invested in startups in the Americas was 66.2 billion U.S. dollars, almost 24 billion U.S. dollars less than the same quarter in 2021.
