Tinder was the most popular dating app among Norwegians in 2018 and was used by 14 percent of the respondents. Second in the ranking was Match, which was used by ten percent. Happn, Badoo and Zoosk had five, five and three percent of adults using it, respectively. Overall, social networking has grown popular over the past decade and while under 60 percent of the interviewed individuals used social networks in 2011, the percentage increased to 82 percent of the participants as of 2018.

Tinder downloads in Norway 

      The number of downloads of Tinder in Norway has increased from February 2018 to February 2019. The app was downloaded over 5.5 thousand times in February 2018, while one year later the number increased to over six thousand. In fact, the number of downloads peaked in January 2019 and it reached 6.6 thousand.

Online dating in the Nordics

      A survey conducted in March 2018 showed that online dating was more popular in Denmark, compared to the other Nordic countries. In fact, 38 percent of the interviewed Danes used a dating app. In Finland the percentage of adults was 35 and in Sweden and Norway the dating app users were 34 percent and 31 percent, respectively.
