This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted in Russia in July 2018 regarding opinions about the execution of the last Russian Emperor, Nicholas II, and his family by firing squad. Of all respondents, 29 percent stated they felt the Tsar was supposed to be punished for his mistakes, but not by death. 57 percent of respondents considered the punishment a crime. 2018 marks 100 years since the execution of the last Russian Tsar and his family.
